When tasked with the rehabilitation of the access road at Plymouth Municipal Airport, in compliance with the detailed specifications of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), we embraced the challenge with precision, expertise, and dedication. 

Spanning approximately 700 feet in length and 11 feet in width, the access road posed a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Our goal was clear: to provide a safe and smooth traveling experience through the airport area while adhering to the FAA’s mission of ensuring the safest and most efficient aerospace system in the world. 

Our comprehensive approach began with the regrading and resurfacing of the existing road surface, ensuring that it was filled in, leveled, and compacted to the highest standards. Leveraging Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP), we meticulously installed and compacted a 4-inch layer over the entire length and width of the access road, creating a durable and resilient surface that would withstand the rigors of daily use. 

Additionally, we reestablished the turnaround area at the equipment building, enhancing accessibility and functionality for airport personnel and visitors alike. A 4-foot-wide walkway spanning 200 feet was meticulously constructed, connecting the equipment building to the antenna array, further enhancing safety and convenience. 

Our commitment to excellence extended beyond mere compliance with FAA regulations; it was about exceeding expectations and delivering results that truly make a difference. By meticulously adhering to the FAA’s mission and fulfilling the detailed requests outlined for this project, we not only enhanced the infrastructure of Plymouth Municipal Airport but also contributed to the overarching goal of ensuring the safety and efficiency of our nation’s aerospace system.
